The Dangerous Goods Inspector Course strengthens the competence of aviation professionals who ensure the safe transport of Dangerous Goods by air. Global cargo operations grow rapidly, and this growth increases the need for strong regulatory oversight. As a result, our course empowers inspectors to apply ICAO Annex 18 and the Technical Instructions (ICAO Doc 9284). It also helps them use other essential regulatory tools with confidence and clarity.
Participants study how organizations classify, package, mark, label, and document Dangerous Goods before they enter the aviation system. They examine how shippers, operators, freight forwarders, ground handlers, and authorities interact across the supply chain. Additionally, throughout the course, we highlight the responsibilities of States and the importance of compliance monitoring. We also emphasize the essential contribution inspectors make to aviation safety.
During the four-day program, learners evaluate real-world cases and analyze regulatory challenges. They practice practical approaches to oversight. In addition, they strengthen their inspection techniques and learn to detect non-compliance. Learners also develop the ability to guide organizations toward regulatory conformity. The course helps participants improve their response decisions during Dangerous Goods emergencies. It does so by helping them understand documentation, safety reporting, and the roles of each stakeholder.
We built this programme around the ICAO Dangerous Goods Inspector Training Programme. This ensures every participant gains a solid theoretical foundation before moving into practical and on-the-job inspector training. By focusing on operational realities and international best practices, the course ensures that each learner leaves with the knowledge and confidence to protect aviation safety.
This course serves civil aviation authorities, regulatory offices, and industry professionals who take responsibility for Dangerous Goods oversight. Graduates apply their knowledge immediately, contribute to safer cargo operations, and support their State’s compliance with international requirements. They gain the expertise to review approvals, evaluate exemptions, audit organizations, and manage documentation processes with accuracy and authority.
