Aviason proudly announces the successful completion of its AVSEC Risk Assessment and Threat Management training programme for ANAC Angola. This specialised training helped Angola strengthen its aviation security oversight and improve compliance with ICAO Annex 17. Our team worked closely with inspectors and aviation security specialists to build practical skills for assessing threats and managing risks in daily operations. They followed principles of AVSEC Risk Assessment and also focused on advanced Threat Management throughout the sessions.
The training introduced clear and effective methods for identifying threats, analysing vulnerabilities, and making risk-based decisions. Participants learned how to use structured assessment tools, behavioural indicators, and situational awareness techniques. Each session also included short case studies and interactive exercises. Notably, these activities reinforced the application of Threat Management strategies within the broader AVSEC Risk Assessment framework in real operational situations.
We designed the programme to match ANAC Angola’s needs. Our experts combined international AVSEC standards with local operational realities. This approach helped participants understand how to adapt risk management methods to their own environment. The training improved their ability to recognise threats early and respond quickly. Furthermore, it strengthened their ability to coordinate security actions more effectively using a holistic approach.
Throughout the course, the group showed strong motivation and active participation. Their progress was clear in discussions, group tasks, and scenario reviews. By learning and practising these skills, they gained new competencies in threat evaluation, behaviour analysis, and structured decision-making. These skills will help ANAC Angola enhance its national aviation security system. Moreover, it will strengthen overall oversight capability.
