Description

The Aeronautical Survey Introductory Course gives aviation professionals the essential knowledge to perform accurate and compliant surveys. It follows the international standards defined in ICAO Doc 9674 and ECAR Parts 139, 173, and 311.

Accurate aeronautical surveys are vital for aviation safety. They ensure that data used for charts, obstacle evaluation, and flight procedures is precise and reliable. As a result, flight operations become safer and more efficient. Moreover, correct survey data helps aerodromes meet both international and national compliance requirements.

This program introduces participants to the fundamentals of aeronautical surveying. It explains how to identify horizontal and vertical reference systems and determine survey requirements. In addition, it shows how to define survey areas for Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) and Electronic Terrain and Obstacle Data (e-TOD).

Participants also learn how to identify aerodrome facilities that must be surveyed. The course outlines how to meet accuracy and data resolution requirements set by ICAO. Furthermore, it teaches how to prepare survey reports that comply with ICAO Doc 9674 (WGS-84).

The course combines theory with practice. Through examples, case discussions, and hands-on exercises, participants gain real-world skills. Therefore, they can apply their learning directly to aerodrome and airspace operations.

By the end of the training, participants will understand how to collect, analyze, and report aeronautical data effectively. This knowledge strengthens safety performance and regulatory compliance.

Join the Aeronautical Survey Introductory Course to improve your technical expertise and contribute to safer, more efficient air navigation worldwide.
