The 15-Day Airworthiness Inspector Certification Course is a comprehensive training program designed specifically for civil aviation airworthiness inspectors involved in the certification and oversight of aviation organizations. This course provides in-depth knowledge of the certification processes for Approved Maintenance Organizations (AMO) and Air Transport Operators (AOC). It does so in accordance with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Model Civil Aviation Regulations (MCARs).
The course is structured around the five-phase certification process. This approach ensures participants gain a clear and practical understanding of each step, from pre-application to final approval and continued operational surveillance. Part One of the course focuses on AMO certification. Meanwhile, Part Two covers AOC certification. In this way, inspectors develop a holistic view of regulatory oversight responsibilities.
A key strength of this training is its hands-on, scenario-based approach. Throughout the course, participants will follow a “mock” maintenance organization and subsequently a “mock” air transport operator as they progress through all phases of certification. This method enables inspectors to experience real-world decision-making and regulatory evaluation. Moreover, this happens in a controlled learning environment.
Participants will engage in practical exercises that involve reviewing and evaluating excerpts from maintenance and operations manuals, assessing organizational procedures, and analyzing compliance demonstrations. Additional exercises focus on evaluating findings, observations, and corrective actions. This process ensures alignment with MCAR requirements and associated advisory material.
By the end of the course, participants will have strengthened their technical judgment, regulatory interpretation skills, and certification oversight capabilities. This will enable them to conduct AMO and AOC certification activities with confidence, consistency, and full regulatory compliance.
